Julie Melanson
Julie joined the JMC team in 2023, bringing with her over five years of experience in talent acquisition, corporate culture, and stakeholder-focused work within complex, public-sector environments. Her professional background includes progressive HR and recruitment roles with the Government of New Brunswick, where she led recruitment and employee onboarding for Opportunities NB, as well as more recent experience as a Talent Acquisition Advisor with NAV CANADA, supporting national recruitment initiatives in a highly regulated, safety-critical organization.
Julie is known for her people-first approach and her ability to build genuine, trust-based relationships with candidates, clients, and internal stakeholders alike. She brings strong judgment, professionalism, and care to every interaction, and is especially skilled at guiding individuals through recruitment and selection processes with clarity, empathy, and confidence. Her experience across government and federally regulated environments has given her a strong appreciation for process, equity, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and French from St. Thomas University, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Communications Studies from Concordia University. Her education and professional experience have shaped her into an accomplished public speaker, presenter, and facilitator, with a natural ability to connect with diverse audiences and communicate complex information in an engaging and accessible way.
Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and with her cat, David Rose. She is an active member of her community and loves unwinding with her favourite TV shows in her downtime.
