Lauren Macdonald is our Consultant at JMC, specializing in compensation strategy and analysis. Since joining the team in 2022, she has helped a wide range of clients—including municipalities, Indigenous communities, non-profits, and private businesses—develop fair, competitive, and transparent compensation structures that align with their organizational goals.
Lauren is particularly skilled at turning complex data into clear, actionable insights. She brings a structured, detail-oriented lens to every project—whether she’s conducting salary benchmarking, designing pay grids, advising on performance-based compensation models, or supporting internal equity reviews. Clients value her ability to balance technical accuracy with strategic thinking, ensuring compensation decisions are both compliant and aligned with culture and values.
Her academic excellence is evident in her achievement of earning the highest mark in New Brunswick on the CPHR National Knowledge Exam. This recognition underscores her deep knowledge of HR principles and her strong foundation in both theory and practice.
Outside of her professional role, Lauren lives in Fredericton with her partner and their three young boys, including a set of twins. She enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, and finding time to recharge in the midst of a busy home and work life. Her ability to manage complexity with clarity and maintain a steady, solutions-focused approach makes her a trusted consultant to both clients and colleagues at JMC.
